Be Kind

 Life is hard. You never know when someone is having a bad day. Being kind is so so important.  As a little kid, my mom pounded being kind to others into my head, every single day. Which I’m extremely thankful for. I was raised on the golden rule, “treat others, the way you want to be treated.” I was always taught, even if you were having a bad day, you always be kind.  The thing that my mom didn’t teach me, was that you could be kind to every single person you interact with on a daily basis, but that doesn’t mean that people are going to be kind back. As a young child, this was hard for me to understand. Why are people hurtful? Why do people say such mean things? Why do people talk behind my back? The list of questions go on and on. As I grew up, I realized that not all people are raised the same way I was. I strongly believe I was taught this because my mom had God in her heart. She knew God loved kindness, He loved when we treated others with kindness, love, and suppor...
